Brewing is the last link in the chain, and a careful touch can enhance a coffee’s unique characteristics. Pour over is a method that offers the most control over the four variable parameters in brewing drip coffee:

  1. grind size

  2. ratio of coffee to water

  3. temperature of brewing water

  4. agitation - the way the water hits the coffee
